Web-slicing- Assignment 12

My sliced  up webpage!
In this assignment I had to make a webpage by designing the page first in Photoshop. I got an idea about reusing some work I created for a past assignment and make it into a webpage. So I went and used a logo I created for another one of my many fake websites and I played around with the layout. I found that I really wanted the girl to be the main graphic as it shows off the website. So I just then make a header that was the title and then added the links and content space. I then sliced it up in Photoshop and exported each one to where it was web-friendly. Afterwards I loaded up Dreamweaver and just began making the Div's and putting the website back together just like a puzzle! I have to admit it looks really nice I might add more to it later but i'm not really sure! Otherwise I have to admit that I have grown to like Dreamweaver and it is really easy to setup a nice webpage, although I don't really like using this method to put the webpage together, sorry.

Crazy Shape Animation- Assignment 10

For this assignment I had to animate tons of shapes using After Effects and for this one I decided to do something a little organized. I thought about trying out all of the different types of animation styles and use them with specific shapes that would turn out to be cool or even pop too! So I did about 6-8 (I think...I kinda lost track after awhile) shapes and I animated each one separately or even together and used different methods to make them all appear/disappear. After I finished animating them I rendered it out (the file was 10GBs big!!!) and took it to Premiere Pro. I later found some nice royalty free music that sounded awesome, but there was parts of it that I liked and others not so much so I went ahead and began editing it and got a really cool sound out of it! I have to say I love After Effects it has a lot of amazing things you can do with it and I would like to learn more! Otherwise I felt really good when I did this assignment and I quite pleased with how it turned out especially the audio!

Thematic Text (Fur for you and me)- Assignment 9

Before

After
In this assignment I had to create thematic text (I hope I spelled it right!) using any kind of texture we desired. I thought it would be cool to do fur so I took a picture of my cat's fur and used it as the texture for the word fur. I used photoshop and made the text then I took the best photo and masked it for each separate letter. I used a nice soft brush to fix the mask and give it the feel of it being fur and after that I just went ahead and animated it in Edge Animate. To be honest this assignment was really easy and it only took me a few minutes to make it. Otherwise I had fun doing it and I love how the fur turned out it looks cool!

Anime Painting of me!!- Assignment 8

An Anime version of myself!^.^

So for this assignment I had to do some digital paint/drawing in either Photoshop or Illustrator using a wacom tablet. I really wanted to do an anime drawing and I decided to make an anime version of myself! I experimented with many different brushes in Photoshop to get the feel and look that I was going for with it. I was having a bit of trouble with it since I shake so much and my the tablet kept following the movements of my hand. There were some mistakes and errors that I made but I fixed them up! Just for this picture I ended up with a lot of layers for each separate piece. I had a lot of fun doing this assignment and I really love how this picture turned out it has to be my favorite thing I have ever created!!

Website Gallery!!- Assignment 7

A screenshot of my web gallery I took with my laptop!

In this assignment I wanted to utilize this gallery to show off a few random different pieces of art and photos that I took/created. I created this website using some of the past websites I created for the DDSGN 150 website class and combined it with the Galleria template. It took me two tries to get it to work right but in the end it turned out nice. I utilized some of my skills to make real/fake web links to give it more of a real feel to it, and as for the content section I typed up everything in Dreamweaver. I enjoyed doing something that refreshed my mind on how to create a website in Dreamweaver, although I like the web gallery from 150 more since it had more you could do with it. The one thing that annoyed me is how Dreamweaver CC 2014's interface is so confusing!! I used Dreamweaver CC last quarter and suddenly 2014 appears! It took me a good 15 minutes to change Dreamweaver's interface to that of how Dreamweaver CC was, and I was then able to work with no problems. Here is the link to go check out my web gallery!!^.^

3D Pop-up Art showcase- Assignment 6

So for this assignment I wanted to show off the artwork that I have done over the time frame of being in the Digital Design program. I will admit some of these are not my best but I didn't have the full storage unit with me to put the best ones in. This project took a while due to the fact that the shadows and lights were giving me a bit of trouble, especially since some of them were being blurred or blinded due to the lighting. I used five lights total to light up the span of the ground and field, and then I turned on all of the shadows for the lights and the pictures. I felt that it was incomplete so I decided to put a sky background that would help make the pictures pop and at the same time tie them all in nicely. The file rendered for over 18 minutes and the size of the file was 8GBs. After Premiere Pro took it's time to open I put the file in and added some music that I felt would fit and to me it was Techno music, cuz I love techno! I really did enjoy doing this one and I think if I ever do it again I might do something more interesting and spice things up a bit! Otherwise I didn't have to much trouble with this assignment at all it was relatively easy.

Fonts Pt. 2 Lower case- Assignment 5

This is the font sheet with both lower case and capital letters!
This assignment is the continuation of assignment 4, but this time I had to create the lower case letters, numbers 0-9, and a few characters. I used the same brush that I used for the capitals, and made sure to keep everything the same as much as possible! I have to say this second part was really hard since the lower case letters were not easy to draw and it did not help that I kept shaking so much while I was drawing. As for the numbers I have to admit with the brush I was using it was making it a bit difficult to draw them, but I found a way to get it to work after a few failed attempts. Lastly, I was trying to draw the characters and the comma was a struggle to draw since I could not draw a comma to save my life! Also, my fonts keep turning weird in Font Creator, but I did my best to make it look nice! I will say this was fun to learn but I don't think I will be doing this again anytime soon.
